Search for the Dell application

• Input “Dell Update” in the windows search bar, the magnifying glass on the bottom left side of your computer screen (1)
• Dell Update app appears, under Best match
• Click Dell Update, to open app (2)

• Dell Update window appears
• Click Check, bottom right (3)

• Select each checkbox for Critical Updates, Recommended Updates  and Optional Updates are checked.  (They should all be checked by default.)  (4)
• Select Dell Docking Solution checkbox
• Click Install (5)

• Installation Complete appears
• Click Restart, to apply updates (6) 

When the computer restarts, a Dell logo will appear along with the text Updating your firmware and Do not power down your system.  A progress meter will advance several times. 

Once complete, your laptop will automatically reboot and bring you back to the windows logon screen.
