How to Setup the DUO App for VPN

1. Install the DUO Mobile app on your mobile device.

2. Once installed, provide the cellphone number of the phone with the DUO application
installed to your IT Administrator. They will link this phone number to your login
credentials you use to connect to the VPN.

3. You will receive a text message that looks like the image below. Once you have the DUO
Mobile app installed, you can click the link in the text message.

4. After clicking the link, the DUO app will automatically open. The default name should be
your company name, but you may rename it to whatever you like to make it easier to
identify for yourself. Once you have the name set, click “Save”.

5. You can confirm this has been added when you see the account added under “Accounts”
section in the DUO App.

6. Finally, you can go to where you normally login for your VPN access. After entering in
your credentials and clicking “Login”, you will receive a “Push Notification” on your
phone. Here you can select approve or deny. If you’re the one who initiated the login,
press “Accept”. If you are NOT logging in and see this notification, press DENY and
alert your IT Administrator. You will not see any prompt on your computer during this
process.

7. After you select “Approve”, you should now be signed into your VPN session! If you run
into any issues during this process, please reach out to your IT Administrator for
assistance.
