Laptops equipped with Intel Iris Graphics can sometimes experience issues with Zoom crashing or freezing when trying to screen share or change backgrounds.

The settings below will help alleviate the issues:

 

Resolving Intel Iris Integrated Graphics issues

Due to technical limitations with Intel Iris Integrated Graphics graphics, users may experience crashes or system freezes when trying to share their screen with the Zoom desktop client. To resolve this issue, please follow these steps: 

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click your profile picture, then click Settings.
  3. Click the  Video tab.
  4. Click Advanced.
  5. In Video Rendering Method, click the dropdown menu and select Direct3D9
  6. Close the Settings window and restart the Zoom desktop client.
