What is "Delay Delivery"?

"Delay Delivery" is a function of the Outlook client.  You can use this function to "hold" an email in the outbox to be sent as a specified time in the future.

Note: If the computer is shut down or not connected to the internet at the scheduled time, the email will deploy the first time you connect to the internet after the scheduled deployment time.

How to delay delivery on an e-mail in Outlook

1. Compose a new message in Outlook as normal.  In the new message window click the Options ribbon and select Delay Delivery.

2. In the properties window that opens, check the box for Do not deliver before and enter the date and time you would like the email to deploy.  Click Close.

3. The email will sit in your outbox until the scheduled deployment time.
