While using VPN and attempting to save files from database view of Raiser's Edge (RE), Financial Edge (FE) or Grants Edge (GE), sometimes the network drives (i.e. X: or G:) are not available.
Solution:

Close all open applications which use citrix.

Make sure you are connect to VPN.

Open File Explorer and click through the network drives (i.e. X: or G:). Make sure the red X by each changes to a green checkmark.

Relaunch Citrix by going to database view again.
